Summary
Add a SummaryPercy Jackson, a demi-god with ADHD and Dyslexia, has never been through a whole year without getting exspelled. He knew he wasn't a normal person. When he was at Yancy Academy on a field trip, Mrs. Dodds, his pre-algebra teacher, turns into a monster. Percy now knows something serious is going on. After being chased by a Minotaur, he reaches a special camp, Camp Half-Blood. Will Percy survive? Read this Greek god book to find out more about Percy Jackson abnormal life.
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is a very good book! Percy Jackson first goes to Medusa if he survives he goes to a museum in Nasville. Then to the Loutus Casino/hotel can Percy Jackson ,Anabeth and Grover survive this aventure
Percy Jackson knows he isn't normal - to an extent. He has ADHD and has trouble focusing. He is kicked out of all the schools he attends, but mostly because of someone -well something- else. But who'd believe him? But then when the Minotaur appears, his best friend turns out to have hooves, and his mom disappears in smoke, Percy knows he is more than just an ADHD kid. Will he find out who his fatehr was at Camp Half-blood, the only place where he can be himself?
Percy Jackson is a troubled student attending Yancy Academy with ADHD and Dyslexia-well, that's the cover-up story. On a fieldtrip, his pre-algebra teacher, Mrs. Dodds, reveals her true identity as one of Hades' torturers-a Fury. Before he knows it, he gets taken to Camp Half-Blood, where he learns that the Greek myths are real, his Latin teacher, Mr. Brunner, is Chiron, that he is son of none other than the sea god, and that Zeus' master bolt has been stolen, and he is being blamed! Now he has until the summer solstice for him, Grover Underwood, and Annabeth Chase to find it and return it to Olympus (which is at the 600th floor of the Empire State) and prove his innocence.
Percy Jackson is getting expelled..again. But this time was different. Something strange was up. When he learns he is a half-blood, and later finds that his lost father is Poseidon, his life takes an upside down turn. With monsters to stand in his way, can Percy stop a civil war between the gods?(Zeus, Poseidon, Hades). A must read.

ImaanGillani- if you dislike like the movie, you don't have to blurt out to the whole world that you personally hate the movie. Iv'e read the book and the movie, and they are both awesome. Anyway, I have never read the Heroes of Olympus, but I've heard about it. I have read the lightning thief, the sea of monsters, the titan's curse, and the battle of the labyrinth. Right now I am reading the last olympian. So far, I personally like the battle of the labyrinth. All of these are awesome books, especially if your intrested in greek mythology. I would recommend these books to everyone!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. So much so, that I am now reading the Heroes of Olympus series and am going to read the Kane Chronicles when I am done =] Fantastic reads!
I enjoyed this book a lot. I recommend all you peeps out there to read this book. If you don't, then you don't know what you are missing. :)
I started to read this book in the bookstore and then had to wait an agonising week while I waited to get it at the library (I had no money). A really great book!
Finished the series. The books just get better and better. Going to read the kane cronicles:) (sorry about my spelling)
Absolutely Hilarious.
the heroes of olympus are really good to i would suggest them. there by the same author
Wow I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. It's not epic literature, but it is entertaining and full of action. I can see why so many kids like this series. Can't wait to read the next one.
This is a well done story. Even though it is juvenile literature, adults will enjoy this too. The mixture of Greek Mythology in the modern era is a clever device that Riordan uses to make the series original. For people who enjoy series like Harry Potter, or Fablehaven, Percy Jackson is a good recommendation. My only complaint is that several little details of this book parallel the first Harry Potter story. Clearly the author was inspired by Rowling's work, but eventually the story manages to distinguish itself. The best thing about this story is the sense of humour woven in.
