I highly recommend this book. It offers an interesting look at many contemporary issues - including a character who struggles with the realization that he is gay despite being a devout Christian. It's a quick read, and Crutcher keeps things interesting by having a ghost as a narrator and writing himself, briefly, into the end of the story.

Billy Bartholomew is dead. His best friend, Eddie Proffit, is still alive. Billy and Eddie meet on the sledding hill--like they always have. And Billy is not about to let a little thing like death stop him from hanging in there with Eddie in his epic struggle to get his life back on track.
