I absolutely LOVE this book!! I received it as a gift and, although i was reluctant to read it, the first chapter had me captivated. Although i was previously unaware of the ancient fairytale I loved how she had turned it into a wondeful, full length novel. A while after reading this book I came accross another retelling of it by one of my favourite authors, Jessica Day george. Her version of the tale, Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow, was every bit as good as this book and I would definately reccomend it to anyone who enjoyed East.

This book is exceptional. The story is well written and the characters are easy to fall in love with! I recomend it to anyone who loves a good adventure!

This is an enchanting tale that really had me. Literally, the house could have burned down around me and I would never have noticed. I had never even heard of the fairytale before, and I was absolutely enthralled. After I finished, I read it aloud to my two little sisters, a couple chapters everynight. They never let me forget to read it! It's a fun read for anyone, and I would certainly recomend this book.

East of the Sun, West of the Moon is one of my favorite fairy tales. Pattou has done a wonderful job of taking the basic story and building a novel around it.

Really great Beauty and the Beast type of book. Its a great read. Anyone who likes love stories and mysteries will LOVE this book.
