Add a CommentI have always enjoyed Anna Quindlen's essays. This one is exceptional. Any avid reader will enjoy the insights into why we like to read and what we get out of it. Book clubs may find it interesting. I liked her discussion of why women enjoy discussing fiction. And if you have a "bookworm" in your house who worries about feeling different because all she wants to do is curl up with a book, this one will help her feel that's OK.
As an avid reader it is interesting to read how other readers think and feel, this was a lovely essay with many ' aha' moments for me.
