And then there are books which you can't tell people about, books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like a betrayal.” To me, this book- no- this series, was a dangerous mix of both. I am tormented by the fact that not everybody has read the chaos walking trilogy and yet I have fallen in love with the idea that something this amazing is known only by me within my circle of friends. The way that the author portrays the horrors of New World and essentially the terrors of the human condition is simply marvelous. And the action is pretty intense too, which is definitely a plus.
This book made me cry. Enough said. Any book that moves you enough to get a physical emotional response has to be good. The writing style can be a little tough for some to get around (as it is written almost phonetically the way the characters talk), but you'll quickly get sucked into the story and forget all about the quirky spellings. In the end, it all adds to the atmosphere of a stunning debut of a gorgeous series. Naming my next pet Manchee. No joke.
This book is possible one of the best sci-fi books I've ever read! You will love this book If you likes The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, and I am Number Four! THIS IS DEFINATELY A MUST READ! Book 2 is The Ask and the Answer and book 3 is Monsters of Men!
This author is amazing. The entire series is a must read!
i don't know about this book but i'm up for most books and everyone i've seen ether loves this book or hates it and so i'm gonna take a gamble and read it but people who are in the middle of hating this book no book is that bad!!!
great series. moving and really, really great action. powerful characters and AWESOME setting! Noise is probably one of the coolest fantasy world aspects I've read about. nothing else to say but Ness is definitely a master
Amazing! One of the best and most powerful books I've ever read!
This is now one of my new favorite YA SciFi books! A friend of mine forced me to read it, and that was perhaps the best punishment in my life. :) Ness is a master of inventing worlds (and words). The first few chapters are slow, but the rest picks up quickly. I think I was speeding at 100 pg/hr until the end. The characters are a real as fiction gets, and the plot thicker than molasses. Probably best for more advanced readers and DEFINATELY recommended for anyone who likes sci-fi.
This book was amazing! i loved the way it was written and the characters. Great read, loved it.
I started trying to read this when I already had a couple of other books on the go, so I wasn't really appreciating it. When I actually sat down and gave this book my full attention, I really got into it. It's a very unusual story, and while I kind of thought Todd was a bit of a brat at the beginning, I really grew to like him. I can't wait to read on and find out what happens next - good thing I have the second book at home with me already!
