Summary
Add a SummaryLife is rough in high school--even for dhamphirs. Rose Hathaway is in her Senior year at St. Vladimir's. In six months, she'll be a full fledged guardian, protecting her lifelong best friend, Lissa, a Moroi Royal. Rose is on her way to take her Qualifier. She's going to be tested by one of the guardian greats, Arthur Schoenberg. Since he cannot leave the Moroi royal house he is guarding, Rose and her teacher, Dimitri, are coming to them. What they find instead is slaughter. All Moroi and Dhamphir members of the household are dead--apparently a plot by the Stigoi vampires and humans in conjunction. St. Vladimir's reacts with alarm. The school won't be allowing the students to leave on Christmas break. Instead, a ski resort will host all the students together and attendance is mandatory. Then--another Royal house is attacked and it becomes obvious the Stigoi are set to attack all the Moroi royalty and end the lines. While the Moroi are arguing defense, some of the factions are considering a more offensive approach--which, to this point, has been forbidden.

Add a CommentGood read overall. I was shocked at the scene when Mason died and how Rose reacted. I loved the ending! It was so sweet how Dimitri told her that he loved her. This book was a bit random at times, and seemed to drag a bit, but, still pretty good. I think its hillarious when Rose talks to Adrian.

I love how the author wrote it and i think her books are awesome but i wish that people would read it a little more faster because there are other people waiting to read the books you know, its not just them. :D but the books are absolutely awesome. anyone whoo reads this should try reading evermore by alisn noel, and fif you already have then try drop dead beautiful. its a little weird in my opinion, but awesome. i think max and ace should be together, but then her and henry would be cute, despite the fact that he is like 40, and she's 16!! creepo.
This book had so much action, I loved it! A real page turner.
I love this series- story lines r great- characters r great- really connected with the characters and the emotions surrounding them throughout the series - definitely worth reading! One of my favorites!
This is an excellent book! I think this whole series is better than Twilight... I would definately recommend this series. The author gave a refreshing twist to the generic vampire story... There is a very intricately weaved plot! A must-read!
wow this book was better written then the first one. no wonder i finished it in 2 days. i just wish there would be more chemistry between rose and dimitri. they are well suited. but have got alot of complications betwen them. Lissa and rose also have a special bond which is more than best friends more like sisters and its portrayed greatly

Amazing book! A must-read for anyone who likes romantic books or vampire/supernatural books! It's even better than Twilight! The story pulls you in further and further with each book!
