Summary
Add a SummaryMy frustration with the 2nd book is that it takes a few chapters before you can really get into because she is forcing a recap of the 1st book to get anyone caught up. The characters can be annoying. I understand that the twins have a deep spiritual connection but I think the author could have found a cooler way of getting that point across than just having them complete each others sentences or repeating each other, she makes them look stupid. Zoey is a little too perfect for my liking. She used any opportunity to call Aprodite a "ho". I kept thinking "enough already, we get it, you dont like her). I think the author forces too many of her points. Shes slightly preachy about her feelings on religion, and the fact that everyone should accpet gay people. It was ok to read at first but after about the 10th time it was mentioned in the book--I wanted to yell. Overall the story line of the Vampyre school and the adventures I think are original. I am interested in following the series despite the flat characters and the cliches. I am just starting the 3rd book and I hope I dont get too anoyed with it to finish it.

Quotes
Add a QuoteStevie Rae shut her eyes. She took a few more gurgling breaths. Then I felt her go completely limp in my arms and she didn't breathe again. Her lips opened just a little, as if she was smiling. Blood trickled from her mouth, her eyes, nose, and ears, but I couldn't smell it. All I smell were the scents of the earth. Then with an enormous rush of meadow-filled wind, the green candle went out, and my best friend died.
Erin (Twin one). "My `rentals sent me an e-mail. They aren't coming 'cause of some Thanksgiving cruise they decided to take to Alaska with my Aunt Alane and Uncle Liar Lloyd".

THIS BOOK GETS BORING
FANTASTIC
This book was amazing! I didn't really see how Zoey had to betray anyone other than Erik with Heath... and now I hate Neferet! And I cried so much when Stevie Rae died </3 though I could see it coming! I have a feeling she will come back though (:
omg just loved this book was amazing! the betrayal was really different then i thought it would be. although i kinda knew it was coming! man i really HATE neferet she is soooooo mean and nasty i just wish Zoey would suck HER blood. GO HOUSE OF NIGHT!!!!!!!!
So far im on page 134 which im likeing and i can't put this book down!!! I really love this book can't we to read the third book Chosen!!
I loved this book!!!!! Can't wait to get the third book!!!
The story is ok, interesting enough with the action (hard to believe it all happened in a day though) Zoey is a very likable character (as long as the boyfriend drama doesn't get out of hand). So is her best-friend Stevie Rae. The other members of Zoe's team really started to annoy me...mostly Shaunee and Erin--the 'Twins'--are just...annoying. Their constant use of "Twin this" and "Twin that" is profoundly irritating. Overall the book was readable, despite it's flaws and I will be checking out the next book in the series.
AMAZING!! I couldn't put it down!!
Really good!
